What This Course Covers

Heartsaver® CPR AED is for anyone who wants to be ready to respond to a cardiac emergency — at work, at home, or in the community. No prior medical training is required.

The course covers adult, child, and infant CPR, AED use, and choking relief. It meets workplace and regulatory CPR/AED requirements across most industries and is suitable for both first-time learners and those renewing their certification.

All training follows the latest Heart & Stroke Canada science-based guidelines and is delivered on-site or off-site — exclusively for your group.

Heartsaver is designed for non-healthcare professionals — workplace staff, community members, coaches, teachers, childcare providers, and anyone who wants to be prepared to respond to a cardiac emergency. No prior medical training is required.
Level A covers adult CPR and AED use. Level C covers adult, child, and infant CPR, AED use, and choking relief. Level C is the more comprehensive option and is recommended for most groups, especially those who work with children or in diverse environments.
The full in-class course takes approximately 2–4 hours depending on the level (A or C) and group size. The blended format includes self-paced online learning followed by a shorter 1–2 hour in-person skills session.
Heart & Stroke Canada Heartsaver® certification is valid for 2 years. We recommend scheduling renewal training before your certification expires to maintain workplace compliance.
